A Conversation with LEON KRIER by Zoom hosted by Francis Terry for the Traditional Architect Group

LEON KRIER is an Architecture and Urban Designer, industrial design, author, and teacher. Originally from Luxembourg City, Leon Krier went on to work with James Stirling from1968-74. Leon is also a theorist promoting the technological, ecological, social rationality, and modernity of traditional urbanism and architecture which has been outlined in great de-tail in his book, “The Architecture of Community.” Since 1988, Leon Krier has most notably provided masterplans for the New Town of Poundbury for The Prince of Wales, for the redevelopment of Tor Bella Monaca, for Cayala, El Socorro and more recently the Nogales developments in Guatemala. He is also currently a visiting Professor at the Yale School of Architecture and was awarded the Richard H. Driehaus Architecture Prize in 2003.
