Michael Mancini is the founder and creative director of Studio 1718, a bespoke furniture studio based in Dundonald, Scotland.

With a strong focus on craftsmanship, heritage, and material integrity, Michael leads a team of skilled makers in producing finely detailed, one-off pieces for private clients, architects, and interior designers. His approach balances traditional woodworking techniques with contemporary design sensibilities, resulting in furniture that is both timeless and highly functional.

Studio 1718 recently secured a major commission for a London-based hotel to furnish three floors and continues to grow its team and capabilities, including an expanding upholstery division and developing a structured training programme for young makers.

Michael is passionate about preserving craft through mentorship and collaboration, and enjoys working closely with architects who value considered design and artisanal quality.
