Chairman: RUSSELL TAYLOR
Russell is an architect designing in the Classical tradition, working mostly on private houses but with some church work and other projects. His practice, Russell Taylor Architects, is based in a Georgian house in Blackfriars Road with a two storey extension and mews house designed by Russell. There is a satellite office in Cornwall. Usually projects are located in the southern half of England, but occasionally further afield.
Educated at Kingston School of Art he has a post-graduate diploma in Building Conservation awarded by the Architectural Association. For most of his professional life he has worked on historic and Listed Buildings.
He is a member of INTBAU, a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Brother of the Art Workers Guild. Also, he is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Masons in which he serves as a trustee of the Craft Fund.
Notable past projects include Crosby Hall in Cheyne Walk; the September 11th Memorial in Grosvenor Square; the St. Joseph’s and Cardinal Newman Chapels in Brompton Oratory as well as a number of private houses, primarily in London and Cornwall.
Russell was appointed Chairman at the 2026 AGM.
Membership Secretary: Jan Hauger
Jan is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University where he received a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) and Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences. He is a Director of Stanhope Gate Architecture, where he has overseen various refurbishments, expansions, new-builds, all in the best traditions of architecture and building and all contextual to their surroundings and cultures, no matter the country.
He was previously an associate at ADAM Architecture where he was involved in various new-build traditional country houses throughout England. Jan gained his Certificate in Professional Practice and Management in Architecture at the Bartlett, UCL, in 2007. He is and a member of INTBAU and the Society for the Protection of Ancient Monuments.
Treasurer: ROBERT COX
Robert Cox has been a design partner at ADAM Architecture since 2024. Robert received a First at Portsmouth and a Distinction at University College London. He specialises in the design of large and complex residential projects for private clients, embedding the contemporary technology required for modern life into either historic fabric or authentically classical new buildings. He is particularly interested in the vernacular of Georgian farmhouses, and the light detailing that distinguishes them.
Robert is a brother of the Art Workers’ Guild, a member of TAG, a member of INTBAU, Young Professionals Group, and a member of the Academy of Urbanism, Young Urbanist. He has been shortlisted for several awards from the RIBA, the International Georgian Group and the World Architecture Festival.

CA, MArch, MSc
Georgia is a graduate of the Institute of Architecture and Urbanism Ion Mincu, Bucharest, where she received a MArch (Hons) in Architecture, followed by a MSc in Sustainable Heritage at The Bartlett / UCL. She is an accredited Conservation RIBA Chartered Architect (CA), a former Guardian of the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB), and the Chair of INTBAU Romania.
Georgia runs her own practice, specialising in conservation architecture and interior design in Listed or in Conservation Area Buildings. Passionate about traditional building techniques and craftsmanship and their continuous relevance in the present, she advocates for a better cross-collaboration between the fields of Conservation and New Traditional Building.
Education secretary: Pablo Alvarez Funes
Pablo Álvarez Funes studied in Seville and Madrid before moving to London, where he worked at Stanhope Gate Architecture for 12 years. His deep interests in traditional Spanish, and Scottish, Mediterranean, and Islamic architecture and construction underpin his passion for designing and managing complex classical and traditional projects in Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia; to his articles, regular collaborations in summer schools, and lectures and to the courses a the Classic Planning Academy. Funes co-founded the Spanish Chapter of INTBAU in 2012, and he is currently engaged as Associate Director at Interior Design Firm Katharine Pooley Ltd, and was appointed Secretary of Education of TAG in 2024.
