Architectural Modeller and Sculptor in Plaster

Modeller of Architecture in Plaster, Specialising in High Relief Facade Casts

ABOUT

Maximilian A. Shapiro is an Architectural Artist creating high-relief facades in plaster.  Working from measured drawings, elevations or photographs he uses a multi-disciplinary process to create detailed plaster miniatures of building facades.  His work stands apart from traditional plaster-carved or cast building models by being reproducible and wall-hangable.  As gifts, presentation pieces or simply for the elegance and beauty of fine architecture, his work is perfect for all lovers of traditional architecture.

His current series is on the Gates of London.  His favourite style is the High Edwardian, shading into the late Victorian, particularly institutional and London architecture. He has most recently completed Temple Bar (Wren, 1669-1672) and Token House (Gruning, 1871), and is finishing Britannia Royal Naval College (Webb, 1902-1905).
