Danielle Cope is an Associate and Project Architect at Alex Oliver Associates, where she works across architecture, conservation and planning. She has extensive experience of historic buildings and sensitive settings, including Registered Parks and Gardens, National Landscapes, Sites of Special Scientific Interest and conservation areas.
Danielle has a particular interest in traditional country houses and historic building typologies, exploring how their enduring principles can be reinterpreted to meet the needs of contemporary life. Her work combines architectural design with a strong understanding of the planning process, particularly on complex rural and heritage-led projects.
She studied architecture at the University of Bath, completing her Part 1 qualification, before undertaking Parts 2 and 3 at the Welsh School of Architecture. Her approach brings together an appreciation of traditional and vernacular architecture with sustainable design, founded on the belief that a thoughtful understanding of place, proportion, materials and craftsmanship can create enduring and environmentally responsible buildings.
