Best Measured Drawing 2025

This year’s First Prize of £500 for the Best Measured Drawing was awarded to Jakub Ryng for his drawing of the Armando Brasini's Palazzo INAIL in Rome.

 
 

A Commendation was given to Karl Fredrik Honningsvåg for his watercolours Casa dei Crescenzi - a medieval roman spolia house.


Another Commendation was given to Anthony Fitheoglou, for his detailed full size drawing of a stone bench at Untermyer Gardens.


Best Student Project 2025

This year’s First Prize for the Best Student Project went to Katie Wright, for her design of a wellness centre in a disused quarry: From Quarry to Quiescence, located in Swanage, South England.

A Commendation went to Beau Pickering, for his proposal for a village renewal scheme for Swithland, Leicestershire.


Best Member’s Built Project 2025

This year’s awards once again showcased an outstanding range of Members’ Projects.
The First Prize was awarded to Francis Terry, for the spectacular restoration of the Tapestry Drawing Room at Castle Howard.

 

A Commendation went to Ben Pentreath Ltd for the sensitive redesign of the ground floor layout and connectivity at Fortnum & Mason’s iconic Piccadilly store.

 
 
 
 

Another Commendation went to Tom Turner, for the design of Ancient Woodland House, a two storey extensionto a 17th century Grade II listed farmhouse in the South Downs National Park.

 

Francis Terry Award 2025

This year we were pleased to introduce a new award, sponsored and judged by Francis Terry, which attracted a strong and impressive range of entries.

The First Prize of the Francis Terry Award was awarded to Sahil Masand for his stunning painting of Preston St Nicholas Church in Prague’s Old Town Square.

 
 

A Commendation went to Jakub Ryng, once again for his drawing of the Armando Brasini's Palazzo INAIL in Rome.

 
 


Another Commendation went to Paul Draper, for a cut away perspective rendered in pen and ink showing Bramante's original design for the Tempietto at S.Pietro in Montorio, Rome.

 
 



A third Commendation went to Tyler Berry, for his Study of Michelangelo Ornament, a 11x14" graphite drawing on Strathmore paper, completed from life.

 
 

Outstanding Craftsmanship Award 2025

The First Prize for the Award in Outstanding Craftsmanship went to Philip Gaches and Luke Preston, for the Plasterwork at the Tapestry drawing Room, Castle Howard.

 

A Commendation went to Jamie Redfearn and Tom Rogers at Jack Badger Ltd.

 
 
 

An Honourable Mention went to Matthew Croxford and Tom Saunders at Croxford and Saunders.

 
 
 

Lifetime Achievement Award 2025

And finally, this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Quinlan Terry.
